WordPress Gravity Forms SMS Plugin

Wordpress Gravity Forms SMS plugin

You can very quickly and easily integrate SMS into Gravity Forms for WordPress to enable SMS messages when somebody submits an enquiry to you.
Text Marketer provide one of the lowest cost SMS Gateways so you can be sure you’re getting the best deal on SMS costs.

We’ve tested this process with a number of WordPress users and from setup to getting the first SMS message out of Gravity Forms, the whole process normally takes a few minutes and then you’re integrated for SMS from Gravity Forms.

You’ll need the Gravity Forms plug in installed on your WordPress installation.

Step 1 – Open an SMS account

First, you need an account with us, so that you can use our Email-to-SMS Gateway.

Open your free Text Marketer account

(Use the promo code GRAVITY and we’ll add 100 free text credits to your account for testing – pre-filled with link above).

Step 2 – Setting where your emails come from

Go in to your Message Box account and click on Account Settings, then click on the Account Details Tab.

See “Email Gateway Settings” on that screen. First, click Active next to the “Use Domain Authentication” box to make it Active.

Then, enter the domain name your emails come from in the box. So if your emails come from sales@abcwidgets.com for example, you would enter abcwidgets.com. Then, click the Save button to save those changes.

Step 3 – Setting SMS up in Gravity Forms

Go to the settings page of Gravity Forms in WordPress and then the Notifications area.

You need to specially format an Email-to-SMS address for your form notifications. The format is [the-mobile-number]@textmarketer.biz, e.g. 07888999777@textmarketer.biz.

Then put your email address in the from field – the one you used when you opened your Text Marketer account.

Nothing is required in the subject line so just enter the contents of the text message in the email body (please add ## to the end of your message as this tells our system where the end of the message is) area and you’re done.

Step 4 – Testing

After you’ve saved the settings changes, simply go to your enquiry form and submit and enquiry and you’ll be sent a text message with the details you entered.

You’ve now sent your first SMS message from Gravity Forms for WordPress!

How much does each text message cost?
