Supported and Unsupported characters in Text Messages - GSM Character Set

When constructing the message for your SMS Marketing campaign you should be aware that not all characters are supported by the GSM networks. They have a specific character set that they work to. It shouldn’t be a mjor concern to 99%+ of people as almost all common characters are supported.

For your information here are a list of the supported and common unsupported characters;

If you are using our campain bulk sms system then you will be alerted if you use any unsupported characters when you submit the sms campaign.

For SMS Gateway customers, you will receive a fail response for any messages submitted with unsupported characters. The € is supported by the gateway / api
